Overnight Cashier and Stocker

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and friendly overnight Cashier/Stocker to join our team at a busy convenience store. In this dual role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service at the checkout while also ensuring that shelves are stocked and organized. The ideal candidate will possess strong sales skills, have a keen eye for detail, and be comfortable handling cash transactions.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently and accurately to process customer transactions.
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and assisting with product selection.
• Engage in upselling techniques to enhance the shopping experience and increase sales.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area and stockroom.
• Stock shelves with products, ensuring proper placement and rotation of inventory.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist in restocking items as needed.
• Handle cash transactions responsibly, ensuring accuracy in cash handling procedures.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations within the store.

Requirements

• Must be 18 or older
• Must be willing to work overnight
• Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred.
• Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights as required.
