Overnight Concrete Manufacturing QC Inspector

Duties & Responsibilities

• Inspect precast concrete product and component dimensions
• Perform tensioning processes for prestressed concrete products
• Inspect all reinforcing, connection, and handling hardware for conformance to the issued design documents
• Ensure proper stability of setup of all forming installed by the production staff prior to the placement of concrete
• Review and approve the finish quality for all types of precast concrete products before and after
• Requires enforcement, consultation, and the reporting of all of the listed inspections for the job
• Requires that proper recording, reporting, and documentation is completed to conform to the Finfrock Plant-Quality-Safety Manual (PQSM)
• Responsible for employee safety in designated areas
• Must participate in a safety training program which includes seminars and in-house certifications
• Enforce safety guidelines conveyed to inspectors via safety manager and in-house training
• This position periodically requires weekend work as necessary to meet concrete production schedule

Qualifications

• PCI certifications are a top priority; candidates must have or be able to obtain ACI Field Testing Technician Grade I and PCI Levels I–III within a reasonable timeframe
• Ability to effectively use tablet and smartphone technology, as all plans and documentation are digital/electronic, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Ability to safely climb forms and ladders to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions as required by the role, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Ability to lift, carry, and handle loads up to 15 lbs throughout the workday, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Demonstrated ethical conduct and professional integrity
• Ability to perform job responsibilities effectively in a fast‑paced environment
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality
• Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Effective time‑management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
