Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Overnight Live-In Nanny to provide exceptional care and support for children in a warm, nurturing environment. This role offers a unique opportunity to live on-site, ensuring the children’s needs are met with consistency and compassion during nighttime hours. The ideal candidate will be proactive, reliable, and passionate about fostering a safe and engaging space for children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. This position emphasizes a positive, energetic approach to caregiving while maintaining clear communication with parents and ensuring all responsibilities are handled with professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive overnight care for children, including soothing infants and toddlers to sleep and monitoring their safety throughout the night
• Prepare nutritious meals and snacks suitable for children’s dietary needs, incorporating meal planning and preparation skills
• Maintain a clean and organized living environment, including light housekeeping duties related to children’s areas such as tidying up toys, laundry, and general cleaning
• Administer first aid when necessary, following proper protocols to ensure children’s safety at all times
• Support children’s daily routines, including diapering, dressing, bathing, and engaging in age-appropriate activities or educational play
• Assist with bedtime routines to promote restful sleep and comfort for the children
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding children’s progress, needs, and any incidents that may occur during the night

Skills

• Proven experience in childcare roles such as nannying or babysitting, especially with infants, toddlers, or preschool-aged children
• Strong knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate activities
• Ability to perform first aid confidently and respond swiftly in emergency situations
• Skilled in meal preparation tailored to young children’s nutritional requirements
• Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
• Capable of light cleaning tasks related to childcare areas to maintain a safe environment
• Excellent caregiving skills combined with patience, energy, and a positive attitude
