Join our dedicated healthcare team as an Overnight Medical Technician (Med Tech), where your expertise will make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents and patients. This vital role involves providing high-quality, compassionate care during overnight shifts in assisted living communities, nursing homes, or healthcare facilities. As an Overnight Med Tech, you will be responsible for delivering safe medication administration, monitoring patient health, and supporting individuals with diverse needs, including those with memory impairments and disabilities. Duties

• Administer medications accurately and safely following prescribed protocols, including oral, topical, injectable, and tube feeding medications
• Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature to assess patient health status
• Document all medical activities precisely using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including catheter care, mobility support, and hygiene routines
• Observe and report changes in residents’ conditions promptly to nursing staff or supervising clinicians
• Support individuals with dementia or Alzheimer’s by implementing specialized memory care techniques and maintaining a calm environment
• Follow HIPAA regulations strictly to protect patient confidentiality and ensure compliance with medical documentation standards

Experience

• Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments is highly preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and medication administration procedures
• Experience caring for individuals with developmental disabilities or those requiring hospice or palliative care is advantageous
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner enhances efficiency in documentation and patient record management
• Proven ability to work independently overnight while maintaining attention to detail and providing compassionate care
• Knowledge of infection control practices and safety protocols related to tube feeding, catheter care, and medication handling
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams and support residents’ well-being
