Job Overview

The pay for this job is hard to list based on the options. It's $60 for spending the night. If you are available for midday visits also, you make more. Multiple nights in a row, it's $60+ a night depending on the package the client chooses.

Our service area is South Mandarin (32223, 32258) down to World Golf Village. We are looking for an Overnight Pet Care Specialist.

Duties

• Monitor and attend to pets’ needs throughout the overnight shift, ensuring they are comfortable, safe, and relaxed
• Administer medications or special treatments as prescribed by veterinary professionals
• Engage pets with gentle handling, play, and enrichment activities to promote mental and physical well-being
• Maintain detailed logs of pet behavior, health status, feeding schedules, and any concerns that arise during your shift
• Assist with pet grooming, feeding, and cleaning to uphold hygiene standards and pet comfort
• Handle animal restraint safely during examinations or treatments, demonstrating animal handling expertise
• Communicate effectively with veterinary staff or pet owners regarding any health issues or behavioral changes

Experience

• Previous experience working with animals in a veterinary clinic, kennel, or pet sitting environment is highly preferred
• Knowledge of dog training techniques and dog handling skills to manage various temperaments confidently
• Veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience is a strong plus for understanding medical needs and procedures
• Familiarity with pet grooming and animal care routines to ensure pets look and feel their best
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for cleaning supplies, bedding, or equipment setup
• Strong customer service skills to communicate professionally with pet owners and team members
• Experience in animal restraint techniques and animal handling to ensure safety for both pets and staff
