Whether it’s a quiet evening with a sleepy pup or a lively night in a multi-pet household, you’ll bring comfort, safety, and joy to pets in their own homes. This role is ideal for someone who feels at ease in a variety of household environments and takes pride in delivering peace of mind to families across the Seacoast.

What You’ll Do

You’ll provide in-home overnight care for pets while their humans are away—ensuring safety, comfort, and lots of love. Responsibilities include:

• Staying overnight in clients’ homes (12-hour shifts, typically 6/7 PM to 6/7 AM)
• Feeding, walking, litter box maintenance and administering medications
• Monitoring pet health and behavior
• Maintaining home security and cleanliness
• Communicating clearly with clients and our team

Stays range from one night to two weeks—perfect for those with flexible schedules and a love of cozy evenings with furry companions.

Location & Driving Requirements

To maximize your earning potential and minimize drive time, you must live in or near one of our service towns:

Newington, Portsmouth, Greenland, Stratham, North Hampton, New Castle, Rye.

• Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license required
• Comfortable driving and walking in all weather
• Able to safely transport pets in an emergency

Pet Handling Skills

We’re looking for sitters who:

• Can confidently walk dogs up to 120 lbs. on leash
• Understand canine behavior and walking techniques
• Are comfortable with cats, dogs, and caged pets
• Can identify signs of stress, fear, or illness
• React calmly and appropriately in emergencies

Home Adaptability

You’ll be staying in a variety of homes, so comfort navigating different setups is key. Respect for client privacy and property is essential.

Client & Team Communication

• Warm, professional communication with clients is a must
• Ability to build trust and rapport
• Flexibility to support team scheduling needs
• Smartphone required to use our scheduling software

Requirement

• Be able to commit long term - Our clients and pets love consistency!
• Pass a background check
• Pet care experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and accountability
