Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Overnight Pharmacy Fill Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong pharmacy technician experience, with a focus on LTC (Long-Term Care) pharmacy operations, critical care, and hospital environments. This role involves preparing medication orders during overnight shifts, ensuring accuracy, safety, and adherence to aseptic techniques. The Overnight Pharmacy Fill Technician plays a vital part in maintaining efficient medication dispensing processes while upholding the highest standards of patient care and safety.

Responsibilities

• Accurately fill medication orders during overnight hours, utilizing DOSIS and/or Parata robots.
• Perform quality checks on dispensed cards.
• Maintain the robots; change out cartridges, ensure alarms are addressed and that all machinary is working smoothly.
• Verify medication labels and dosages against physician orders, maintaining meticulous attention to detail
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Collaborate with pharmacy staff to ensure timely medication dispensing for long-term care residents.
• Support patient service initiatives by accurately preparing medications and addressing any discrepancies or concerns.

Skills

• Proven experience working in LTC pharmacy or hospital settings.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration, and aseptic techniques.
• Familiarity with pharmacy technician responsibilities within acute care or hospital environments.
• Excellent attention to detail for verifying prescriptions, labels, and dosages accurately.
• Ability to work efficiently during overnight shifts while maintaining high safety standards.
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with healthcare professionals and supporting patient care initiatives. Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
