What You'll Do

We are looking for a focused, detail-oriented Overnight Prep & Juicer to join our kitchen and produce team. Reporting directly to the Retail & Produce Managers and Head Chef, this role is the backbone of our daily food program — ensuring the kitchen, hot bar, and juice program are fully stocked, prepped, and ready before the store opens each morning. If you do your job well, the whole team hits the ground running.

Responsibilities include:

• Receive, inspect, and process incoming produce deliveries, verifying quality and flagging any issues to the Retail & Produce Manager
• Break down and prep all produce for kitchen use according to daily prep lists and production schedules
• Execute high-volume fruit cutting and portioning for grab-and-go, hot bar, and café programs
• Operate and maintain juicing equipment to produce fresh cold-pressed and blended juices to spec
• Follow all recipes, yield targets, and quality standards for the juice program
• Label, date, and store all prepped items properly (FIFO), ensuring full kitchen readiness for the opening team
• Adapt to shifting production priorities based on delivery timing, inventory levels, and direction from the Retail & Produce Manager
• Identify and communicate opportunities to use residual or perishable produce before it turns, minimizing waste across both the kitchen and retail floor
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized work environment throughout the shift and leave stations fully reset for the day team
• Monitor and log food temperatures and follow all HACCP protocols and local health codes

Who This Role Is For

• Experience in a prep kitchen, produce department, or juice bar environment preferred
• Comfortable working independently overnight with minimal supervision — self-directed and reliable
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow prep lists, yield guides, and juice recipes precisely
• Adaptable and calm under shifting priorities — delivery windows, production volumes, and task order may change night to night
• Familiarity with produce handling, seasonal ingredients, and cold-press or centrifugal juicing equipment a strong plus
• Understanding of FIFO, food safety, and proper storage standards
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
• Availability to work overnight shifts between 9:00 PM and 6:00 AM, including weekends — exact hours vary based on deliveries, production needs, and team scheduling
