Overnight RN – Newborn Care (Private Family in Coral Gables / Pinecrest, FL)

We are a private family living in the Coral Gables / Pinecrest area seeking a compassionate, experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in newborn care to support our family during the overnight hours.

We are looking to hire two night nurses to split 30 nights per month, or one nurse who would like to take on as many of the 30 nights as desired. Our goal is to create consistent, reliable overnight support in a calm, respectful home environment.

This role is ideal for a nurse who is confident with newborns, attentive to detail, and values providing both clinical expertise and reassurance to new parents.

Schedule

• Overnight hours: 9:00 PM – 8:00 AM
• Up to 30 nights per month
• Flexible structure:
• Two nurses splitting the month
• Or one nurse taking on as many nights as preferred

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess newborn feeding, sleeping, and overall well-being throughout the night
• Support feeding routines (breastfeeding support, bottle prep/feeding, burping, tracking intake)
• Diaper changes and general infant hygiene
• Maintain detailed overnight logs of sleep, feedings, and observations
• Ensure safe sleep practices and infection control standards
• Respond promptly and appropriately to any concerns or acute changes
• Provide guidance and reassurance to parents as needed

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the State of Florida
• Experience with neonates or infants

Strong understanding of neonatal assessment and safe sleep protocols

• CPR/NRP certification preferred
• Comfortable working independently overnight
• Professional, dependable, and calm demeanor

Compensation

• $32/hour
• 1099 independent contractor (W9 required)
