Overnight Sitter

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Overnight Sitter to provide attentive care and supervision for our child during nighttime hours. This role is vital in ensuring a safe, comfortable, and nurturing environment while parents are away. The Overnight Sitter will be responsible for maintaining routines, ensuring safety, and offering engaging activities that promote well-being and peace of mind. Ideal candidates are compassionate, reliable, and experienced in childcare, with a passion for creating positive overnight experiences for children of all ages.

Responsibilities

• Monitor children throughout the night to ensure their safety and comfort, responding promptly to any needs or emergencies
• Follow established bedtime routines, including reading stories, assisting with pajamas, and calming children to sleep
• Administer basic first aid if necessary, and handle any minor injuries or health concerns with care and professionalism
• Maintain a secure environment by supervising children’s activities and ensuring the safety of the sleeping area
• Provide engaging and age-appropriate activities before bedtime to promote relaxation and positive routines
• Communicate effectively with parents or guardians about the child's overnight experience, including any concerns.

Skills

• Proven experience in nannying, daycare work, or caregiving roles involving children of various ages
• Knowledge of first aid procedures and ability to respond calmly in emergency situations
• Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs preferred
• Strong understanding of toddler care, infant care, and child development principles
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children and parents alike
• Ability to maintain patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude during overnight hours
• Familiarity with teaching basic routines or caregiving techniques that support children's well-being
