Owner-Operato (Box truck or cargo van)

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Owner-Operator with a box truck to join our logistics team. This role involves managing your own vehicle to deliver freight efficiently and safely across designated routes. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, familiarity with various types of freight, and the ability to operate different truck configurations. This position offers independence and the opportunity to work as a key part of our transportation network, ensuring timely deliveries and excellent customer service.

Duties

• Operate a box truck for deliveries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
• Load and unload freight efficiently, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo
• Manage route driving, including planning optimal paths for timely deliveries
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch teams
• Assist with freight handling using equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks when necessary
• Ensure the vehicle is kept clean and well-maintained throughout daily operations
• Comply with all DOT regulations and company policies regarding commercial driving

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with appropriate endorsements for box trucks or similar vehicles
• Experience in truck driving, including route driving, freight delivery, and load & unload procedures
• Proficiency in operating manual transmission trucks (preferred)
• Experience with forklift operation is advantageous
• Strong knowledge of safety procedures related to commercial driving and freight handling
• Ability to manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules
• Reliable vehicle maintenance record for your own truck or willingness to maintain the vehicle properly
• Must have a clean driving record and pass background checks as required by regulatory standards
