About the Role

KGO is seeking experienced Owner’s Representatives / Project Managers with 5–7 years of relevant experience to support mission-critical client initiatives in Wilmington, IL, and Kennett Square, PA. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in engineering and construction , coupled with a collaborative, client-focused approach that enables them to seamlessly integrate into the client’s team and operate as a trusted extension of their organization.

This role is hands-on and requires a professional who thrives in dynamic environments, communicates effectively with diverse stakeholders, and can manage complex projects from early planning through closeout.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Owner’s Representative for construction and capital projects, ensuring alignment between client objectives, contractor performance, and project outcomes.
  • Oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and documentation.
  • Facilitate clear communication among architects, engineers, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor project progress, risks, and milestones; provide proactive solutions to maintain scope, quality, budget, and timeline.
  • Conduct regular site visits and be on-site during critical project milestones to ensure work aligns with client expectations and industry best practices.
  • Support procurement processes, change order management, and contractor oversight.
  • Prepare project reports, presentations, meeting notes, and stakeholder updates as needed.
  • Foster strong relationships with internal and external partners, ensuring seamless integration with the client’s team and culture.

Qualifications

  • 5–7 years of experience in project management, owner’s representation, construction management, or related fields.
  • Strong background in engineering, construction, or related technical disciplines.
  • Proven ability to lead and coordinate complex construction projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently, make informed decisions, and represent the client with professionalism.
  • Comfortable working on-site when required, particularly during major milestones.
  • Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is a plus but not required if the candidate brings strong practical experience.
