Job Summary:

We are seeking an exceptional engineer with a strong background in packaging design and product handling. As a member of the engineering team, reporting to the engineering manager, this role requires a creative mind with excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make decisive decisions. This role will require strong communication skills with the ability to work closely with customers, leadership, and skilled labor on the production floor, along with the capacity to manage multiple projects. The ideal candidate has 2-5 years of experience developing solutions for packaging, in plant handling, prototyping, and developing production ready products. Proficiency in SolidWorks and/or ArtiosCAD preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

· Research and analyze customer proposals and specifications to determine the cost and feasibility of new projects

· Design new solutions and modify existing products to meet customers’ needs

· Work independently to solve complex design issues

· Work with internal tooling and outside vendors to complete projects in a timely manner

· Prototype and test new products

· Perform initial and ongoing design reviews

· Partner with sales and project managers to support customer issues and translate feedback into engineering design requirements

· Help identify process deficiencies and develop solutions for improvement

· Involved in market research and implementation of new process advancements

Required Qualifications:

· Proficient use of SolidWorks and/or ArtiosCAD

· 2-5 years of experience in packaging, product handling, or related engineering roles

· Strong understanding of materials (corrugate, plastics, foams, etc.) and manufacturing processes

· Ability to read and interpret complex drawings

· Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience with packaging testing standards

· Experience and knowledge in machining and manufacturing operations

· Experience working in fast-paced manufacturing environments

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
