The Opportunity:
The Packaging Engineering Manager is directly responsible for managing the work of the Packaging Engineers, ensuring that they are on track to meet the department and company goals. He/she is responsible for the success of key projects with key customers, resulting in additional business or meeting customer expectations.

Develop and implement policies, standards and procedures for the engineering and technical work performed in the department.

Perform administrative functions such as reviewing and writing reports, approving expenditures, enforcing rules, and making decisions about the purchase of materials or services.

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Assign projects to appropriate team members to ensure success

Monitor and achieve the meeting of our cost savings commitments to our customers

Direct and manage multiple projects with key customers while ensuring their success.

Experience managing relationships with customers.

Make day to day decisions that align with department budgetary guidelines

Reviewing and approving PTO
What you need to succeed:
-
Bachelor’s degree in package engineering or similar field
-
Twelve (12) or more related years’ work experience required
-
Two (2) or more years related corrugated packaging experience required
-
Supervisory experience managing packaging engineers in a creative environment
-
Expertise utilizing Artios CAD or similar CAD software packages
-
