About Yuto USA Design Center:

YUTO USA is the packaging design and engineering organization under the YUTO umbrella located in various regions of the continental US. We specialize in packaging design, engineering, and rapid prototyping services for our customers. Our facilities have CNC sample cutting tables, 3D printing and testing equipment.

What you’ll do:
We’re seeking a detail-oriented Packaging Sample Maker Specialist to support daily operations in our Packaging Innovation & Testing Labs. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, and problem-solving. You will be responsible for producing packaging samples for our clients. You’ll work with and operate specialized equipment and help manage overall lab workflow.

Your primary location will be our packaging lab in Sunnyvale CA. You’ll be directed by our local engineering team and may also work with our overseas teams to support local sampling and/or testing needs.

Key Responsibilities:

· Manually assemble packaging samples for design validation and testing.

· Operate the CNC digital cutting tables to produce packaging samples, prototypes, and test components.

· Prepare materials accurately according to drawings, specs, and testing requirements.

· Create a packing and shipping plan for all samples produced.

· Manage sample making in support of customer projects.

· Manage sample workflow and item organization.

· Manage and organize necessary materials and supply inventory.

· Schedule sample testing and execution in collaboration with engineering team.

· Maintain lab cleanliness, and equipment organization.

· Manage the shipping and receiving of samples.

· Follow safety protocols.

· Other tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

· Experience with hand assembling of packaging samples.

· Experience with packaging manufacturing environment and equipment.

· Experience with paper-based packaging.

· Experience working in a packaging warehouse is a strong plus.

· Familiarity with packaging materials (primarily corrugated, paperboard, rigid box materials, etc.)

· Capable of reading dimensioned drawings and specifications preferred.

· Capable of using measurement tools (calipers, rulers, scales) and following SOPs.

· Strong organizational skills and ability to juggle multiple tasks.

· Must be able to work and troubleshoot independently at times.

· High school diploma and/or equivalent preferred.
