Title: Packaging/Shipping II

General Description

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Packaging/Shipping II in Building 2. This role is responsible for preparing materials for shipment, operating packaging stations, ensuring products are packaged accurately and efficiently, and maintaining accurate inventory.

The ideal candidate is organized, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Experience with forklifts and general warehouse or packaging operations is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

1. Shipping Preparation

  • Prepare materials and products for shipment according to work orders and shipping schedules.
  • Verify product counts, labels, and packaging requirements before shipment.
  • Ensure all items are properly secured and protected for transport.

2. Packaging Operations

  • Operate packaging tables and workbenches to package products efficiently.
  • Follow packaging guidelines to meet company and customer standards.
  • Label, wrap, and organize materials for shipment.

3. Material Handling

  • Operate a forklift to move products and materials throughout Building 2.
  • Transport items between staging, packaging, and shipping areas.
  • Maintain proper organization of inventory and staging areas.

4. Quality & Accuracy

  • Inspect products for damage or defects prior to packaging.
  • Ensure accuracy in counts, labeling, system transactions, and documentation.
  • Report any discrepancies or issues to supervisors.
  • Housekeeping & Safety
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
  • Assist with general cleanup, restocking supplies, and other tasks as needed.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Previous experience in packaging, shipping, or warehouse operations preferred.
  • Forklift experience required (certification preferred).
  • Ability to follow instructions and read basic work orders or shipping documents.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to safety and quality standards.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment (lifting, standing, moving materials).
