Packing & Shipping Coordinator

A Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation employer partner is seeking a Packing & Shipping Coordinator to join their team. Our company is a Brooklyn-based lighting studio specializing in handcrafted, made-to-order fixtures for high end design clientele. We’re looking for a Packing & Shipping Coordinator to manage all packing, quality checks, and outbound shipments with care and accuracy.

Responsibilities:
-Pack fragile lighting fixtures safely and securely
-Build/customize boxes and crates
-Inspect fixtures for defects and confirm all parts are included
-Create shipping labels and coordinate UPS/FedEx/freight pickups
-Track shipping timelines and ensure orders leave on schedule
-Maintain shipping materials and keep the area organized
-Photograph and log shipments and updates in project management software

Requirements:
-Experience with fragile goods (art, furniture, lighting) is desired but not required
-Shipping or fulfillment experience is helpful but not required
-Strong attention to detail and careful handling of delicate items
-Organized, reliable, and comfortable managing deadlines
-Able to lift and move boxes/fixtures

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
