Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled PACU RN to join our healthcare team. The Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) RN plays a crucial role in providing high-quality care to patients recovering from anesthesia. This position requires a compassionate individual who can effectively monitor patients, manage pain, and ensure a smooth transition from the operating room to recovery. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and experience in critical care settings.
Duties
- Monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition post-anesthesia.
- Administer medications and manage IV infusions as needed.
- Provide acute pain management and assess patient comfort levels.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure continuity of care.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and document findings accurately.
- Educate patients and families about post-operative care and recovery processes.
- Respond promptly to any changes in patient conditions or emergencies.
- Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection control protocols.
Skills
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills:
- Proficiency in Epic, Cerner, or other EMR/EHR systems for medical documentation.
- Must have Hawaii State RN License.
- Knowledge of acute pain management techniques and medication administration.
- Ability to perform procedures such as IV insertion, phlebotomy, suturing, and airway management.
- Experience in various specialties including pediatrics, geriatrics, trauma medicine, and hospice & palliative medicine.
- Strong understanding of patient assessment techniques and vital sign monitoring.
- BLS and ACLS are required PALS preferred.
- ADN or BSN in Nursing.

Pay: $60.00 - $64.00 per hour
