Job Summary: The Ledger Independent is seeking a full-time Paginator to join our team. This position will be responsible for supporting all our newspapers owned and operated by Champion Media, LLC. As a Paginator you will be responsible for the visual layout of our newspapers and transform a collection of stories, photographs, and advertisements into an organized, readable, and aesthetically pleasing newspaper. This role requires a sharp eye for detail, a deep understanding of typography, and the ability to thrive in a deadline driven environment.

What Will I Be Doing?

• Create both print and digital ads from scratch.
• Place and size photos, adjust headlines and story flow, and prepare finished pages for publication.
• Inspect provided artwork for quality and press/web configuration.
• Place and crop photos and ensure all graphical elements align with the publication’s style.
• Offer and execute creative solutions for content presentation.
• Work and communicate effectively with local editors and sales teams to continually improve our publications.
• Utilize digital software tools to upload advertisements digitally for both print and web.

Do I Have What It Takes?

• Experience, exposure or desire to learn Graphics and Pagination
• Adobe Photoshop or more aligns, including courses taken during course of education.
• Must be able to multitask, handle hard deadlines and be a true team player.
• Strong and Effective Communication Skills
• Strong typing and English skills
