Our content is authentic, energetic, and community-driven, and we are looking for a creative intern who can help us grow our digital presence across every major platform.

Job Summary
As our Social Media Marketing Intern, you will create, schedule, and manage content across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube. You will also join us in the field on select move days to capture raw, authentic footage that becomes the backbone of our content calendar. This is a hands-on, creative role with real responsibility and real impact from day one.

What You'll Do

  • Plan and maintain a weekly content calendar across social media platforms
  • Shoot, edit, and post short-form video content (TikTok, Reels, Shorts) using your phone or provided equipment
  • Travel on-site to move jobs to capture authentic behind-the-scenes footage (mileage reimbursed)
  • Write captions, hashtags, and hooks that drive engagement and reflect the Smoovtherly brand voice
  • Respond to comments and DMs in a timely, on-brand manner
  • Monitor analytics on each platform and report weekly on reach, engagement, and follower growth
  • Repurpose long-form content into short clips, carousels, and story sequences
  • Research trending audio, formats, and creator strategies relevant to our niche
  • Collaborate directly with the founder on content themes, campaigns, and storytelling direction

What We're Looking For

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Marketing, Communications, Film, or related program
  • Active personal presence on TikTok and/or Instagram — you understand what makes content perform
  • Comfortable shooting and editing vertical video on a smartphone (CapCut, InShot, or similar)
  • Strong writing skills — captions should be punchy, clear, and on-brand
  • Self-starter who can manage their own schedule and hit deadlines without being micromanaged
  • Reliable transportation for field days (mileage reimbursed)
  • Genuine interest in entrepreneurship, relocation, or the moving industry is a plus
  • Portfolio or examples of content you have created (required at interview)

Field Work — What to Expect

Some days you will be on the job site. That means early mornings, loading docks, residential driveways, and the back of a moving truck. You will be there to capture — not to move furniture. Field shifts are coordinated in advance and are not every day. Dress comfortably, bring your phone charged, and be ready to find the story in the work.

Field frequency: Approximately 1–2 days per week, varies by schedule

Transportation: Personal vehicle required; mileage reimbursed at standard rate

Equipment: Smartphone required; additional equipment provided as needed

Compensation

Hours: 2–4 hours per day, flexible scheduling

Weekly Estimate: 10–15 hours / week (~$140–$210/week)

Mileage: Reimbursed for all approved field travel

Additional Perks: Portfolio-worthy content, direct founder mentorship, letter of recommendation available

Pay: $14.00 - $20.00 per hour
