Paid Marketing & Video Production Intern (Gardening / Content Creator)

We are a growing gardening and education-focused business producing high-quality content across YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and paid advertising platforms. Our work combines real-world gardening expertise with modern content and funnel-based marketing strategies.

We are looking for a motivated intern/apprentice who wants a career in marketing, video production, and content strategy, and who has a genuine interest in gardening, sustainability, or educational content.

This role is hands-on, creative, and mentorship-driven, with a clear path to a paid long-term position.

About the Role

This is a paid internship/apprenticeship designed to train someone in real-world content creation and marketing systems.

You will work directly with the business owner to learn and execute a pillar-based content marketing strategy, producing both long-form and short-form video content that supports organic growth, paid ads, and sales funnels.

You’ll also assist with filming and live video production as part of our growing media operation.

Responsibilities

• Edit raw video footage into:
• Short-form content (Reels, Shorts, TikTok)
• Long-form YouTube videos
• Simple ad creatives for marketing funnels
• Learn and apply a pillar content strategy across platforms
• Assist with videography and filming (in-studio and on-site)
• Support live video production (setup, filming, basic production tasks)
• Organize and manage content files and assets
• Collaborate on improving content performance and workflow

What We’re Looking For

• Strong interest in marketing, video production, and content creation
• Interest in gardening, plants, sustainability, or educational content
• Comfortable learning editing software (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, CapCut, DaVinci Resolve, etc.)
• Has their own laptop and/or phone capable of video editing
• Organized, reliable, and eager to learn
• Comfortable taking feedback and improving quickly
• Basic familiarity with social media platforms (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram)

Formal experience is less important than curiosity, initiative, and a desire to build real skills.

Internship Structure & Growth Path

• Starts at 10 hours per week
• Paid at $15.15/hour
• Training and evaluation period of up to 1 month
• If selected for continued employment:
• Hourly pay increases to $20–$25/hour
• Hours increase
• Eligibility for performance-based bonuses and raises
• Expanded responsibilities and long-term growth opportunities

Interview Process

Shortlisted candidates will be asked to complete a paid skills assessment, which includes:

• Taking provided raw video footage
• Editing it into a finished short-form video

This helps us evaluate editing style, storytelling ability, and attention to detail.
