Position Overview
We are seeking a licensed Physician (MD/DO), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA) with a background in pain management, orthopedics, MSK medicine, or neurology. This is an exciting opportunity for a clinician who thrives in a dynamic environment, eager to grow procedural skill set, and committed to delivering outstanding care.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage new and established patients presenting with various pain management conditions, including but not limited to:
- Joint pain and orthopedic injuries
- Cervical and lumbar spine pathology, including herniated discs
- Neck pain and muscle spasm
- Headache disorders
- Bursitis and soft tissue conditions
- Accurately interpret diagnostic studies including radiological imaging (X-ray, MRI, CT, ultrasound) and electrodiagnostic reports (EMG/NCS)
- Perform interventional procedures commensurate with training and licensure, which may include:
- Botox injections
- Corticosteroid injections
- Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) injections
- Maintain thorough, accurate, and timely clinical documentation in compliance with applicable standards
- Collaborate closely with physicians and support staff to ensure seamless, high-quality patient care
Qualifications
- Current licensure as an MD, DO, NP, or PA in the state of Maine (or eligibility to obtain licensure)
- Training or clinical experience in one or more of the following: pain management, orthopedics, musculoskeletal medicine, or neurology
- Demonstrated ability to interpret radiology reports and electrodiagnostic studies
- Procedural experience or willingness to develop injection skills under physician supervision
- Strong critical thinking and clinical reasoning abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with emphasis on documentation quality
- Self-directed, motivated, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team
