PAIN MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

Job Summary
TruCare Medical Group PLLC is a rapidly expanding, multidisciplinary medical practice serving patients across Las Vegas and surrounding communities. We specialize in delivering high-quality, evidence-based care directly to patients in their homes, assisted living facilities, and residential communities.

Our pain management division focuses on:

  • Chronic pain syndromes
  • Neuropathic pain
  • Post-surgical pain
  • Musculoskeletal disorders
  • Spine-related conditions
  • Non-opioid treatment strategies
  • Regenerative and adjunct therapies

We are seeking a confident, autonomous Nurse Practitioner with strong pain management experience to help lead and expand this specialty.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations to assess pain levels, underlying causes, and functional impact using medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic tools such as medical imaging and EMR systems.
  • Develop personalized pain management plans incorporating pharmacologic treatments like botulinum toxin injections, interventional procedures such as nerve blocks or catheterizations, and non-pharmacologic therapies including health coaching and wound care.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across specialties such as psychiatry, neurology, cardiology, endocrinology, and rehabilitation to optimize patient care strategies.
  • Manage medication administration with precision, adhering to CPT coding standards and HIPAA regulations to ensure compliance and safety.
  • Educate patients on pain management options, lifestyle modifications, and self-care techniques to empower active participation in their recovery journey.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of clinical assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge planning in electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic for seamless continuity of care.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in acute pain management within inpatient or outpatient settings; hospital experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of physiology related to pain pathways, neurocritical care principles, and interventional radiology techniques such as nerve blocks or epidural injections.
  • Familiarity with complex medical terminology across specialties including dermatology, rheumatology, oncology, gastroenterology, pulmonology, reproductive endocrinology, and pediatric critical & intensive care.
  • Certification in basic life support (BLS) required; additional certifications in interventional radiography or anesthesia are advantageous.
  • Excellent patient service skills with the ability to perform thorough patient assessments and develop effective care plans tailored to individual needs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team in fast-paced environments such as Level I trauma centers or ICU settings.
  • Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality at all times. Pay: $3,911.86 - $4,711.06 per month
