Paint Technician

Position

At 41South we design, fabricate, and install architectural graphics and signage across the east coast for commercial clients. We are seeking a talented painter an body work technician who is proactive, thrives in a team setting, and is looking for a long-term commitment.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to work alongside and lead a team demonstrating outstanding quality and efficiency. They will have excellent leadership skills and provide a wealth of previous experience to this senior role.

Responsibilities

• All finishing duties associated with paint department
• Receive, read, and understand complex design specifications
• Perform all tasks as given by shop manager
• Develop methods to increase efficiency whilst delivering superior quality
• Collaborate with team members to ensure proper delineation of production roles
• Communicate with engineers and design staff to ensure color and finish consistency

Qualifications

• Punctual and have reliable transportation to and from work.
• Strong ability to read and interpret complex drawings
• Knowledge of all tools and equipment associated with finishing
• Ability to effectively manage time in order to ensure fulfillment of due dates
• Efficient, with the affinity to work effectively with little supervision
• Attention to detail
• True desire to craft a quality product
• Self-starter who takes pride in their work
• Work well with others.
• Keeps work area clean
• Must be able to lift up to 75 LB and remain standing for long periods of time.
• Familiar with Matthews Paint System
• Familiar with bondo and body work
• Experience with finishing aluminum, steel, acrylic, polycarbonate, and wood.
