Job Summary

Fauxcades is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Paint Shop Team Member to support the production and finishing of custom décor, props, signage, and scenic elements used in large-scale events and installations. This role is responsible for preparing, painting, staining, finishing, and maintaining inventory pieces while ensuring all work meets Fauxcades’ quality standards.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with painting techniques, surface preparation, and workshop tools, and enjoys working in a fast-paced creative production environment.

Duties & ResponsibilitiesGeneral Responsibilities

• Arrive on time and prepared to begin work each day.
• Maintain strong attention to detail in both the paint shop and warehouse areas.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with supervisors and team members.
• Maintain a positive attitude and interact respectfully with employees, clients, and vendors.
• Take initiative to stay productive and troubleshoot issues when they arise.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Use basic computer systems and be willing to learn new software or internal tools.
• Assist team members and other departments when needed.

Production & Paint Shop Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for finishing by sanding, filling, repairing, and cleaning materials.
• Apply paint, stain, and protective coatings using rollers, brushes, and spray equipment.
• Assist with the production of new décor items and modifications to existing inventory.
• Monitor the quality of newly produced and repaired items to ensure they meet Fauxcades standards.
• Track and manage repair items within the designated damaged inventory area.
• Perform touch-ups and repairs on décor items scheduled for upcoming events.
• Work with Project Managers and production leadership to clarify specifications when needed.
• Help wrap, label, and organize completed décor items for transport or storage.
• Move finished inventory and custom builds to designated outbound areas.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized workspaces.

Inventory & Material Coordination

• Assist with organizing materials and supplies needed for upcoming projects.
• Coordinate with team members to retrieve items requiring repair or touch-ups.
• Help track materials and ensure items are properly labeled and organized.
• Support the team in maintaining the overall quality and condition of Fauxcades inventory.

Skills & QualificationsPainting & Finishing

• Roller painting and cutting-in techniques
• Spray painting equipment (or willingness to learn)
• Staining and clear coat applications
• Surface preparation and finishing

Surface Preparation

• Bondo
• Wood filler
• Putty
• Sanding and smoothing surfaces

Tools & Equipment

• Drills
• Staple guns
• Basic hand tools
• Table saws and miter saws (a plus)

Work Schedule

• Standard hours: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Hours may vary depending on production schedules and event timelines.

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
