Painter Crew Leader

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Painter Crew Leader to oversee residential and commercial painting projects from start to finish. Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of painters, assigning tasks and monitoring progress on residential, commercial, and renovation projects
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion
• Execute a wide range of painting techniques including airless spray painting, hand brushing, roller application, and specialty finishes such as stucco or industrial coatings
• Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately interpret project specifications and plan work accordingly
• Manage the use of hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during all phases of painting and surface preparation
• Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure timely completion of projects within scope and budget
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety standards and regulations at all times

Requirements

• Proven experience in residential painting, commercial painting, construction painting, or renovation projects with a strong understanding of construction site operations
• Skilled in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and basic math for estimating materials and measuring surfaces
• Proficient with hand tools, power tools, airless paint spraying equipment, welding tools, masonry tools, carpentry (including trim carpentry), framing, plastering, caulking, restoration work, concrete finishing, masonry work, fixture installation, remodeling tasks, maintenance procedures, and welding techniques
• Knowledge of color theory to achieve desired aesthetic effects and high-quality finishes
• Ability to lead a team effectively while managing multiple projects simultaneously in fast-paced environments
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with clients and team members; previous supervisory or handyman experience is a plus
• Construction site experience including safety protocols and working knowledge of schematics or technical drawings is essential

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
