Painting Supervisor

Job Title: Painting Supervisor (Shipyard)

Location: Musaffah ICAD 2, Abu Dhabi UAE

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Painting Supervisor to join our shipyard team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading and managing painting personnel, overseeing daily painting operations, ensuring compliance with safety and quality requirements, and ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within established standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate all blasting and painting activities onboard vessels and within the shipyard.
• Monitor surface preparation, coating application, and painting works according to project specifications and marine standards.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company procedures, and environmental requirements.
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met.
• Prepare daily progress reports and coordinate with project engineers and management.
• Manage manpower allocation, materials, tools, and equipment efficiently.
• Conduct toolbox talks and ensures workers follow safe work practices.
• Coordinate with other departments to meet project deadlines.

Requirements

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Painting Supervisor in marine, shipyard, or offshore projects.
• Knowledge of marine coating systems, blasting, and painting standards.
• Ability to read and understand technical specifications and drawings.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Familiarity with safety procedures and permit-to-work systems.
• Relevant certifications or training in painting/coating inspection is an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications:

● Experience in ship repair/new building projects.

● Knowledge of international marine coating standards.
