Paintshop Incharge- Master Painter

The Paint Shop In-Charge is responsible for leading and managing all paint shop operations, ensuring high-quality workmanship, productivity, and customer satisfaction. The role requires a highly skilled automotive paint technician with hands-on experience in conventional automotive painting, peelable paint, custom finishes, and modern paint systems. The successful candidate must be capable of supervising, training, and motivating the paint team while maintaining strict quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Responsibilities

• Perform and supervise all automotive painting activities to the highest quality standards.
• Prepare vehicle surfaces through sanding, masking, priming, and other pre-paint processes.
• Mix and match paint colors accurately using manufacturer specifications and color-matching systems.
• Apply all types of automotive coatings, including:
• Basecoat/Clearcoat systems
• Solid and metallic paints
• Pearl finishes
• Matte finishes
• Peelable paint systems
• Custom paint finishes
• Carry out polishing, buffing, and final finishing to achieve showroom-quality results.
• Ensure all completed vehicles pass quality inspection before delivery.

Leadership & Team Management

• Lead, supervise, and coordinate the daily activities of the paint shop team.
• Allocate work efficiently based on technician skills and workshop priorities.
• Train and mentor painters and paint helpers to improve technical skills and productivity.
• Monitor attendance, discipline, and performance of team members.
