We are seeking a compassionate and skilled
Palliative Medicine Specialist/Consultant
to provide comprehensive care for patients with life-limiting illnesses. The role focuses on improving quality of life through symptom control, psychosocial support, and coordination of multidisciplinary care for patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities

Assess and manage pain and complex symptoms (physical, psychological, and spiritual)

Develop individualized palliative care plans aligned with patient goals and values

Provide end-of-life care and advance care planning discussions

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including oncology, nursing, social work, and allied health

Support patients and families with emotional, ethical, and decision-making needs
-
Offer inpatient, outpatient, and home-based palliative consultations as required
-
Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation and care coordination
-
Participate in family meetings and ethical case discussions
-
Educate patients, caregivers, and healthcare staff on palliative care principles
-
Comply with hospital policies, clinical governance, and quality standards.
Qualifications & Requirements

Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent)

Specialization in Palliative Medicine
-
Board certification or equivalent (preferred)
-
Minimum 2–5 years of post-specialization experience
-
Strong communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills
-
Experience working in multidisciplinary care teams

Knowledge of pain management protocols and end-of-life ethics.
