Responsibilities

• Prepare paper surfaces by sanding, filling, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
• Apply paints, stains, and coatings using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, and airless spray equipment with precision and consistency
• Use color theory knowledge to select appropriate hues and finishes that meet project specifications
• Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand design requirements and application instructions
• Perform surface repairs including plastering, caulking, and stucco application to ensure smooth finishes on paper products
• Operate power tools safely for surface preparation and finishing tasks while adhering to safety protocols
• Conduct routine maintenance on painting equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance during production

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction or commercial painting, including residential or industrial painting projects
• Strong understanding of color theory and surface finishing techniques
• Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and spray equipment such as airless paint sprayers
• Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings related to construction or renovation projects
• Familiarity with construction estimating processes and basic math skills for measurements and calculations
• Hands-on experience with plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, masonry, welding, or concrete finishing is highly desirable
• Previous construction site experience involving renovation or restoration projects is preferred
• Ability to work safely at heights and on scaffolding while maintaining attention to detail
