Para Professional Tutor

: The Baker Center para-professional tutor:

In addition, the para-professional tutor works to maintain an awareness of the tutees in the Center and tries to meet the needs of present. During tutorial sessions, the tutor strives to identify and develop each learner's unique strengths and strives to help the tutees become independent learners.

The para-professional is expected to complete (in a timely manner) all aspects of tutor training and provide mentoring to new tutors. This person may run training sessions and can create modules for online tutor training. Para-professional tutors participate in special projects or initiatives, help to maintain a clean and orderly appearance in the Center and perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EXPECTED HIRING SALARY RANGE: For Adjunct Faculty, rates are pursuant to the collective bargaining agreement between Tompkins Cortland Community College and the TC3 Adjunct Association. Current pay rate is $23.78/hour.

Review of applicants to begin March 26 until position is filled. NOTE: This is a part-time (Adjunct) faculty position. Adjunct positions are ongoing-recruitment pooled positions. Additionally, maintaining New York State residency will be required for the duration of employment.
