Compensation:
$15.07/hr. (+$0.40 extra for 60+ college credit and $0.30 for Para Certification/Sub Authorization)

This individual is responsible for supervising the behavior and safety of students. Acts as a resource for individuals throughout the school by assisting with locating materials in the Media Center and by providing an organized center to promote student education and reading enjoyment.

Job Summary: Responsible for assisting district wide Media Specialists with checking books in and out; shelving books; assisting students and staff with locating appropriate materials; performing clerical duties; and maintaining technology equipment, computer system and automated card catalog.

Position Responsibilities

  • Check books in and out of the Media Center.
  • Shelve books.
  • Supervise students.
  • Assist students and staff with locating appropriate materials in the Media Center.
  • Perform clerical duties such as maintaining student records and catalog system.
  • Record periodicals and prepare them for student circulation and teacher routing.
  • Prepare overdue lists and notices.
  • Read stories to students visiting the Media Center.
  • Perform minor maintenance of technology equipment.
  • Assist with inventorying all technology and print and non-print materials.
  • Facilitate learning around makerspace.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
