Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Paralegal to join our dynamic litigation consulting team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in civil law. This role requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and proficiency in PowerPoint. The Paralegal will be a member of our Cogent Legal team and will be expected to travel monthly to events.

Cogent Legal is seeking a dynamic, curious, and team-oriented legal professional to join our Mock Trial and Jury Consulting Team.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with mock trials, focus groups, and jury selection.
  • Analyze jury demographics and behaviors to provide insights on potential juror biases.
  • Collaborate with attorneys to develop strategies for jury selection and trial presentations.
  • Participate in mock trials and focus groups to evaluate juror reactions to case presentations.
  • Create visual presentations in PowerPoint based on a variety of feedback types.
  • Stay updated on trends in jury behavior and changes in legal regulations affecting jury selection.
  • Analyze feedback and use statistics to generate detailed reports.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of civil law.
  • Proven experience in trials.
  • Exceptional writing skills and attention to detail.
  • High-level experience drafting trial presentations in PowerPoint.
  • Video editing experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Strong public speaking skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Prior experience working in a law office or similar environment is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
