DFW Open MRI is seeking a detail-oriented, full-time, onsite, Paralegal to work Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm at our beautiful corporate office located in Dallas, Texas along the Interstate 35E and Regal Row corridor alongside a team of billing and collections specialists.

Job Responsibilities:

· Responsible for filling out and drafting documents for court cases, depositions, arbitrations, affidavits, and fulfilling requests for medical records.

· Undertake legal correspondence to communicate with partnering attorneys and opposing counsels, and with companies requesting medical records in compliance with HIPAA.

· Must have a good understanding of legal documents, legal concepts, terminologies. and principles, subpoenas, affidavits, letters of protection, substitution of attorneys, and statements of assurance as it relates to personal injury law.

· Have the ability and willingness to attend trial as a witness and take part in sworn depositions.

· Develop working relationships with client law firms, paralegals, and attorney staff to facilitate compliance and fulfilment of documents and working in a collaborative manner with colleagues and management.

· Working knowledge of billing and collections so as to be of assistance to the billing and collections team.

· Receive payments for services through a credit card machine and prepare documents for mailing using a postage machine.

· Take on additional duties and projects as assigned by management.

Qualifications & Experience:

· The minimum education requirement for the Paralegal position is an accredited two-year associate degree in criminal justice, paralegal-related studies or legal studies, or other related field of studies. You must also possess a paralegal certificate from a creditable paralegal program.

· A bachelor's degree in paralegal-related studies along with a paralegal certificate from a creditable paralegal program will be preferred.

· Must possess a minimum of two (2) years of experience as a paralegal in a legal, injury law, or professional services is required.

· Proficiency in Adobe and Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams in a Windows desktop environment are required.

· Complementary combination of education and/or work experience in billing, collections, banking, accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable areas are highly desirable.

· Attention to detail and accuracy, strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, effective customer service, teamwork, maintaining positive working relationships with colleagues, clients, and management, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion including compliance with HIPAA and all required laws, rules, policies, and procedures.

This is a regular, full-time, onsite, hourly position, with a guaranteed 40-hour work week, paid on a semi-monthly basis. After the probationary period of 90-days, employees are eligible to potentially earn bonus pay if the company’s performance and financial goals are met.
