Paralegal

Job Duties & Requirements: Marshall Conway Bradley & Gollub is seeking a paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate must have experience preparing and filing pleadings, discovery demands and responses, and motions in Federal and State Court in New York. New Jersey a plus.

Requirements:

Minimum of 4+ years of experience as a paralegal in a law firm environment (personal injury defense preferred but will consider other qualified experience)

- Certification or associate’s degree in paralegal studies (bachelor’s degree is preferred)

-Investigative mind and strong research skills

-Working knowledge legal database software

-Excellent communication and time management skills

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Knowledge of legal research methods and resources, including West Law or similar databases

- Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures related to personal injury cases

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced

Other tasks include:

- Assist attorneys in all phases of personal injury defense litigation, from case inception to resolution

- Communicate with clients to obtain necessary information for case evaluation and discovery responses

- Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests

- Organize and maintain case files, including indexing and filing documents

- Prepare trial notebooks and exhibits for use in court

- Review medical records and prepare medical chronology and summaries

- Assist with trial preparation, including witness coordination and document management

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
