Paralegal

Little & Boylan, PLLC is a law firm located in Rochester Hills, Michigan, seeking a qualified Paralegal with law firm experience in divorce and family law to join our team.

Position Overview

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in divorce/family law, including case preparation, document drafting, client communication, and court filings.

Responsibilities

  • Draft and revise pleadings and other legal documents
  • File documents with the courts and Friend of the Court
  • Draft and answer discovery
  • Familiarity with law, legal procedures and protocols, and court systems
  • Draft and respond to subpoenas and record requests

Qualifications Required:

  • Two years minimum paralegal experience practicing in a divorce/family law firm
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Office, Adobe, and ChatGPT
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of Michigan court rules and filing procedure

Preferred:

  • Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree
  • Familiarity with case management software Clio
  • Notary Public commission in Michigan
  • Experience with electronic filing systems

Compensation

Salary commensurate with experience.
