The Augusta County Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office is accepting applications for the position of a Paralegal.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate the ability to communicate clearly in writing and work well in a team environment. Other desired qualifications and skills include: General working knowledge of the criminal justice system; willingness to learn new duties and ability to cross-train; demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint; willingness and ability to learn, work and operate within our digital case management system; excellent organizational skills with the ability to independently manage multiple tasks with tight deadlines and attention to detail; ability to communicate effectively with all levels of court employees, and the general public, in writing and orally; ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive topics; ability to gather and summarize data for reports, find solutions to various administrative problems, and prioritize work.
This is a salaried position with County benefits which consists of VRS retirement, group life, health insurance, and PTO leave program.
