Paralegal

Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. In this vital role, you will support a wide range of legal functions across multiple practice areas, including Construction defect litigation, homeowner association and general business law. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your legal skills while contributing to impactful legal work in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

  • Assist attorneys with case preparation by organizing and reviewing legal documents.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research across various practice areas to support case strategies.
  • Draft, proofread, and edit legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, discovery requests, and correspondence with precision and clarity.
  • Manage legal case files and maintain accurate records through data entry and filing in both physical and electronic systems.
  • Support project management efforts by coordinating deadlines, scheduling interviews with clients or witnesses, and tracking case progress.
  • Perform document review for litigation cases and assist with discovery processes.
  • Provide administrative support including phone etiquette, organization of meetings or hearings, transcription of notes or recordings, and general clerical tasks to ensure efficient office operations.

Requirements

  • Proven paralegal experience with a strong background in diverse legal fields general litigation experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence; proofreading and transcription abilities are essential.
  • Experience supporting litigation processes from discovery through trial preparation; knowledge of contracts and legal case management is a plus.
  • Effective interviewing skills for gathering information from clients or witnesses; ability to handle sensitive information discreetly.
  • Administrative experience supporting a busy law office environment; familiarity with clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, and phone etiquette. Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
