Paralegal

Matteuzzi Law, P.C. is a busy civil litigation boutique law firm seeking a part-time Paralegal. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated professional with strong attention to detail, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and a willingness to collaborate closely as part of a team while working under tight deadlines.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Collecting, reviewing, and organizing investigation and medical records
• Preparing comprehensive summaries and detailed medical chronologies
• Managing and maintaining litigation calendars, including scheduling meetings, court deadlines, hearings, depositions, and filing dates
• Monitoring case deadlines and prioritizing tasks to ensure timely case progression
• Identifying and organizing exhibits for depositions, including preparation of exhibit notebooks
• Coordinating and providing relevant records to expert witnesses
• Electronically filing court documents (e-filing) in federal and state courts in compliance with applicable rules and deadlines
• Downloading, organizing, and maintaining court documents within case files
• Communicating with court clerks, opposing counsel, clients, and internal staff on behalf of attorneys
• Transcribing correspondence, memoranda, pleadings, recorded statements, and time entries

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience as a legal assistant or paralegal studies
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and time-management abilities
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of litigation processes and court procedures
• Familiarity with e-filing platforms and court docketing systems

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
