Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with case preparation by conducting legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools.
- Manage and organize legal documents using document management systems like iManage and PCLaw; ensure accurate filing and data entry.
- Draft, proofread, and edit legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, memos, and correspondence with precision.
- Support litigation processes through document review, discovery coordination, and case file management.
- Conduct interviews with clients and witnesses to gather pertinent information for cases involving personal injury, workers' compensation, or family law matters.
- Maintain case calendars and deadlines to ensure timely filings and compliance with court requirements.
- Provide administrative support including phone etiquette, scheduling appointments, and managing legal administrative tasks to facilitate smooth office operations.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of various practice areas including family law, real estate, and probate/estates
- Strong research skills utilizing Westlaw and LexisNexis to gather relevant legal information efficiently.
- Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence; meticulous proofreading abilities are vital.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong organizational skills; experience in project management is a plus.
- Effective interviewing techniques to collect accurate case information from clients or witnesses.
- Proficiency in clerical tasks such as data entry, filing, transcription, and maintaining organized files within a busy law office environment.
- Superior organizational skills combined with professional phone etiquette to support attorneys and clients effectively. Pay: $54,129.84 - $65,188.63 per year
