Overview
We are seeking a Litigation Paralegal responsible for managing a high-volume docket (35+ cases) focused exclusively on personal injury litigation. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to proactively manage case progression from intake through trial or settlement. The paralegal will support attorney by maintaining case files, drafting legal documents, coordinating discovery, and communicating with clients and third parties.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive legal research using LexisNexis, Westlaw, and other legal research tools to support case development across multiple practice areas
- Assist in drafting, proofreading, and reviewing legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, discovery requests, and correspondence with precision and clarity
- Manage and organize case files using document management systems like CLIO and Google Drive.
- Support attorney with client interviews by preparing questionnaires and summarizing interview notes accurately
- Review documents for relevance and accuracy during document review processes in litigation cases
- Maintain meticulous records of case activities, deadlines, filings, and correspondence to ensure timely compliance with court requirements
- Provide administrative support including data entry, filing, scheduling appointments, and managing phone etiquette to facilitate smooth office operations
- Provide clients with case updates and assist in gathering necessary documentation
- Coordinate with experts, court clerks, and process servers as needed.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of personal injury law
- Proven paralegal experience or relevant legal administrative experience in a law office setting
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
- Exceptional writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence with clarity and professionalism
- Effective proofreading and transcription abilities to ensure accuracy in all documentation
- Ability to handle confidential information discreetly while demonstrating professionalism in all interactions
- Excellent phone etiquette combined with clerical skills such as data entry, filing, and administrative support
- Use standard office software (Word, Excel, PDF tools) for drafting and document management.
- Familiarity with both state and federal court filing requirements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files at all times.
