Duties
- Assist attorneys with legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw, ensuring accurate and timely information retrieval across diverse practice areas including estate planning, environmental law, family law, securities law, and tribal law.
- Prepare, review, and draft legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, discovery requests, and correspondence with precision and clarity.
- Manage case files using document management systems like iManage and PCLaw, maintaining organized records for easy access and retrieval.
- Conduct thorough document review and data entry to support litigation, transactional work, or compliance projects.
- Support project management tasks by coordinating deadlines, scheduling interviews, and assisting with administrative duties related to legal cases.
- Perform legal research on statutes, regulations, and case law to assist attorneys in case preparation.
- Provide executive administrative support by managing calendars, handling phone inquiries with professionalism, and ensuring smooth office operations.
Qualifications
- Proven paralegal experience with a strong background in legal administrative tasks across multiple practice areas such as estate planning, immigration law, landlord-tenant law, personal injury law, workers' compensation law, patent law, or securities law.
- Proficiency in legal research platforms including LexisNexis and Westlaw; experience with document management systems like iManage is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with legal case management software such as PCLaw; ability to handle document review and proofreading accurately.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence; keen attention to detail for proofreading and transcription tasks.
- Effective interviewing skills for gathering case information from clients or witnesses.
- Knowledge of UCC law (Uniform Commercial Code), tribal regulations, patent law procedures, and environmental law is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality work standards.
- Exceptional communication skills coupled with professional phone etiquette; experience providing administrative support in a busy law office setting is preferred. Pay: $53,152.81 - $64,011.98 per year
