Summary:
The Paralegal is responsible for assisting in the preparation, review, and negotiation of various legal documents and agreements, including contracts, non-disclosure agreements, and other legal documents.
Administrative Responsibilities:
Follow all relevant policies, processes, and standard operating procedures so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
Facilitate knowledge transfer efforts related to different job activities to junior staff and ensure know-how and expertise is passed on to qualified candidates.
Functional Responsibilities:
Provide support in legal research and analysis, assisting attorneys in gathering and organizing relevant legal information, case law, and statutes.
Assist in drafting and reviewing legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and legal correspondence, ensuring accuracy, adherence to legal requirements, and maintaining version control.
Coordinate and manage legal documentation, including organizing and maintaining legal files, contracts, and databases, ensuring easy retrieval and accessibility of information.
Conduct due diligence activities, such as reviewing contracts and legal documents for compliance, identifying potential risks, and preparing reports and summaries.
Support in-house attorneys in the preparation of legal briefs, reports, and presentations for litigation, arbitration, and regulatory matters.
Assist in managing legal projects and deadlines, including tracking and monitoring key legal milestones, coordinating with internal stakeholders and external counsel, and ensuring timely completion.
Provide administrative support to the Legal department, such as scheduling meetings, managing calendars, organizing legal documents for signatures, and coordinating travel arrangements for legal team members.
Stay updated on legal developments, trends, and best practices, assisting in maintaining the Legal department's knowledge management system and contributing to the continuous improvement of legal processes and procedures.
Academic & Professional Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in legal studies or equivalent.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience in law or a similar field.
Skills and Requirements:
Knowledge of local laws and regulations, particularly in the IT industry.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Exceptional organizational skills and multitasking capabilities.
Fluency in English & Arabic language is a must.
