<Job Overview>
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our legal team.
<Duties>
- Assist with legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools
- Draft, review, and proofread legal documents such as pleadings, motions, memos, and correspondence with precision and clarity
- Organize and manage case files using document management systems like iManage and PCLaw for efficient retrieval and storage
- Conduct document review and data entry to ensure accuracy in case management systems
- Calendar all relevant dates
- Support attorneys with administrative tasks including filing, scheduling appointments, and maintaining calendars
- Interview clients and witnesses to gather relevant information for cases involving family law.
- Assist in preparing for litigation by compiling exhibits, organize materials, and managing deadlines
<Qualifications>
- Proven family law paralegal experience with a strong understanding of family legal procedures.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
- Proficiency in legal research platforms including Westlaw and LexisNexis
- Experience with legal case management software like PCLaw is highly desirable
- Strong writing skills with attention to detail in drafting and proofreading legal documents
- Excellent interviewing skills combined with professional phone etiquette
- Knowledge of document review processes and legal administrative experience in a law office setting
- Ability to perform data entry accurately while maintaining confidentiality and security of sensitive information
- Clerical experience including filing, transcription, proofreading, and general administrative support
- Scheduling hearings, mediations, and the like
