<Job Overview>
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our legal team.

<Duties>

  • Assist with legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools
  • Draft, review, and proofread legal documents such as pleadings, motions, memos, and correspondence with precision and clarity
  • Organize and manage case files using document management systems like iManage and PCLaw for efficient retrieval and storage
  • Conduct document review and data entry to ensure accuracy in case management systems
  • Calendar all relevant dates
  • Support attorneys with administrative tasks including filing, scheduling appointments, and maintaining calendars
  • Interview clients and witnesses to gather relevant information for cases involving family law.
  • Assist in preparing for litigation by compiling exhibits, organize materials, and managing deadlines

<Qualifications>

  • Proven family law paralegal experience with a strong understanding of family legal procedures.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
  • Proficiency in legal research platforms including Westlaw and LexisNexis
  • Experience with legal case management software like PCLaw is highly desirable
  • Strong writing skills with attention to detail in drafting and proofreading legal documents
  • Excellent interviewing skills combined with professional phone etiquette
  • Knowledge of document review processes and legal administrative experience in a law office setting
  • Ability to perform data entry accurately while maintaining confidentiality and security of sensitive information
  • Clerical experience including filing, transcription, proofreading, and general administrative support
  • Scheduling hearings, mediations, and the like
