Job Description:
As a Paralegal/Legal Assistant at Bisceglie & Associates, you will play a crucial role in supporting our legal team. You will work on a diverse range of cases related to labor, construction, and litigation law, providing essential assistance to our attorneys. Your responsibilities will include:
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and analysis to assist attorneys in case preparation.
- Draft, edit, and proofread legal documents, contracts, and correspondence.
- Organize and manage case files, documents, and evidence.
- Maintain and update legal databases and case management systems.
- Assist with trial preparation, including document preparation and witness coordination.
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel as necessary.
- Schedule and manage appointments, court dates, and meetings for attorneys.
- Perform administrative tasks, such as filing, photocopying, and data entry.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in relevant laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant
- Experience preparing for trial in local and/or federal courts
- Proficiency in legal research and writing.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
- Proficiency in using legal software and databases.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
