About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized Paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is comfortable managing a substantial caseload, and has a strong grasp of legal procedures, drafting, and client communication. This role provides meaningful responsibility and the opportunity to contribute directly to successful case outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft and prepare legal documents, including:
  • Pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses
  • Affidavits, correspondence, and court forms
  • Final court-ready documents with minimal attorney revision
  • Manage case files, organize records, and maintain deadlines.
  • Communicate with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and third parties.
  • Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including exhibits, witness lists, and notebooks.
  • Coordinate and schedule hearings, mediations, depositions, and meetings.
  • Conduct factual research, gather documents, and summarize records.
  • Monitor case progress and ensure timely follow-up.
  • Perform e-filing and manage court submissions.
  • Track and enter billable time accurately.

Qualifications

  • 3-5+ years of paralegal experience in a law firm setting
  • Strong understanding of court rules, filing procedures, and litigation workflow.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with legal software and case management systems (e.g., Clio, MyCase, LexisNexis).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Professional, client-centered approach.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience preparing cases from intake through trial or settlement.
  • Ability to anticipate attorney needs and proactively manage tasks.
  • Notary Public commission (or willingness to obtain).
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, team-based environment.
