Paralegal (bilingual in Mandarin Chinese preferred)

Job Overview
I am seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented paralegal who preferably is bilingual in Mandarin Chinese. This position is a part-time position that offers flexible hours with mostly remote work. The candidate needs to have access to a computer, printer, and scanner, and has working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, Dropbox, Microsoft Word, Zoom, and DocuSign. Additionally, the candidate is good at multi-tasking and completes assignments quickly with accuracy and efficiency.

Duties

This role offers an exciting opportunity to support a wide range of practice areas, including general civil litigation, personal injury claims, and commercial and business matters. The ideal candidate will have worked in and understands the needs of a fast paced litigation firm. The paralegal is expected to support attorney with case management tasks such as data entry, court filing, and maintaining organized legal files both electronically and physically. Conduct client interviews in Mandarin Chinese when needed to gather case information efficiently and professionally. Manage administrative functions including scheduling appointments, coordinating meetings, handling phone calls with client and other parties, and providing executive administrative support. Perform legal research in various areas of law to assist in case preparation. Assist with litigation processes by preparing case summaries, tracking deadlines, and supporting trial preparation efforts.

Experience

  • Paralegal experience in a fast-paced law office environment is required; familiarity with multiple practice areas such as general civil litigation and/or personal injury law is highly desirable.
  • Familiar with the filing systems of Pennsylvania state courts is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence; proficiency in proofreading and transcription is essential.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is preferred; ability to communicate effectively with Mandarin-speaking clients is highly valued.
  • Demonstrated clerical experience including data entry, filing systems (both electronic and paper), and general administrative support functions.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
