Paralegal (Construction/ Commercial Real Estate)

We manage large-scale construction projects and maintain a substantial industrial real estate portfolio with tenant spaces ranging from 8,000 to 700,000 square feet. Our legal team supports construction operations and real estate ownership, handling matters including construction litigation, commercial leasing, construction contracts, and real estate transactions.

Position Summary

The Construction / Commercial Real Estate Paralegal supports both construction and real estate legal matters while helping improve the efficiency of the legal department. This role assists with contract drafting and review, leasing and real estate transactions, litigation support, and legal process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Construction & Real Estate Legal Support

· Review and assist with drafting commercial real estate leases, particularly industrial leasing

· Review and assist with drafting construction contracts, subcontracts, and related agreements

· Support landlord-side leasing matters across multiple states

· Assist with real estate purchase and sale transactions

· Support lease administration and tenant legal matters

· Coordinate with project management teams on contract administration and compliance

· Assist with construction and real estate regulatory compliance

Legal Operations & Process Improvement

· Design and manage legal department workflows and processes

· Evaluate and implement legal technology solutions including contract and document management systems

· Collaborate with contracts administrators on templates, workflows, and standard agreements

· Develop legal department policies and procedures and assist with internal training

Litigation & Risk Management Support

· Support litigation involving construction, personal injury, employment, and commercial disputes

· Assist with discovery, document production, and case file management

· Conduct legal research and assist with memoranda preparation

· Support insurance-related legal matters and claims coordination

Required Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program

· 5+ years of paralegal experience in construction law, real estate law, or related fields

· Strong attention to detail and document accuracy

· Experience with commercial leasing transactions

· Experience drafting or reviewing construction contracts and real estate agreements

· Proficiency with legal research tools, contract management systems, document management platforms, and Microsoft Office

· Familiarity with AI-assisted drafting tools and legal technology

Preferred Qualifications

· J.D. degree (a plus but not required)

· In-house paralegal experience in construction or real estate industries

· Experience with industrial real estate and landlord-tenant matters

· Experience implementing legal technology platforms

· Background supporting both transactional work and litigation

Compensation & Benefits

· Base Salary: $90,000 – $120,000
