Paralegal (Consumer Bankruptcy Chapter 13 )

Senior Chapter 13 Paralegal (Consumer Bankruptcy) – Michigan

We’re looking for a seasoned Senior Chapter 13 Paralegal who knows consumer bankruptcy inside and out. Someone who can take a case from intake to confirmation with confidence, accuracy, and zero hand-holding.

What You’ll Do

• Manage full Chapter 13 case workflow from start to finish
• Prepare and review petitions, plans, Schedules, SOFAs, and required documents
• Communicate with trustees, courts, and clients
• Track deadlines and ensure all filings are timely and accurate
• Handle amendments, creditor updates, and plan modifications
• Coordinate with attorneys for hearings, signatures, and case strategy
• Maintain detailed notes and status updates inside case management systems

What You Need

• 2–5+ years of dedicated consumer bankruptcy experience (Ch. 13 required)
• High-level attention to detail — clean petitions, clean data, clean work
• Ability to manage a heavy caseload without losing quality
• Excellent communication and client-handling skills
• Experience in Best Case, NextChapter, Clio, MyCase, or similar platforms

Nice to Have

• Chapter 7 experience
• Prior work with high-volume consumer bankruptcy firms
• Familiarity with confirmation processes, payment monitoring, and modifications
