Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Family Law Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of family law practices and procedures, with the ability to support experienced attorneys in various aspects of case management. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing exceptional legal support.
Duties
- Assist attorneys in preparing for court hearings and trials, including drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
- Conduct thorough legal research to support case preparation and strategy with the oversight of the attorney
- Manage case files using document management systems, ensuring all documents are organized and accessible.
- Perform proofreading of legal documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
- Maintain communication with clients, providing updates on case progress and gathering necessary information.
- Assist in the preparation of discovery materials and responses.
- Familiarity with time tracking and ability to meet a billing quota

Requirements
- Proven experience as a paralegal preferably within family law.
- Strong skills in legal research and writing; ability to draft clear and concise legal documents.
- Familiarity with litigation processes and procedures is required.
- Experience with document management systems is highly desirable.
- Excellent proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
